I was a Referee for Biolytix Water for The Asian Innovation Award, which they went on to win. The judges said the decision was unanimous. For Biolytix and Queensland, it was an enormous honour: a Queensland-based company beating large multi-national companies such as IBM, HP and Shell. To me, it highlights the potential of Biolytix to make a real impact internationally. At a time when the issues of climate change and sustainability are more important than ever, Biolytix is a company at the cutting edge of innovation in environmental technology. Take one simple fact: compared to conventional sewage treatment technology, Biolytix systems cut energy use by up to 90%.
