The treated wastewater from your BioPod is usually dispersed through sub-surface irrigation.
Biolytix partners with Netafim, who are considered the best irrigation providers in the world.
Netafim’s sub-surface irrigation solutions introduce advanced water conservation practices and technologies for irrigation. As opposed to traditional overhead irrigation solution, water is not wasted through evaporation, wind overspray, mist or surface run-off. Instead, with drip irrigation, the water is applied directly to the plant's root zone, optimizing water usage.
In most cases local councils require a geotechnical investigation to determine the subsoils underlying the area in order to determine and recommend the design of the irrigation area.
In general the following buffer distances are usually recommended:
3 metres from buildings or property boundary at higher elevation
6 metres from buildings or property boundary at lower elevation
40 metres from intermittent water course or dam
100 metres from permanent surface waters (e.g. rivers)
Other factors that will determine your irrigation area are the size of the house, especially the number of bedrooms. The irrigation area will need to be the right size to absorb the flow rate coming from the household water usage.
Our accredited installers are trained to install your irrigation area according the specifications of the geotechnical engineer.
