It's very quiet – you can install it close to the house
The BioPod doesn't have noisy aerators and agitators. The pump that sends the water to the irrigation field is much quieter than aerators and is engineered to fit into a pumpwell in the middle of the BioPod tank, where it is acoustically well insulated.
Mechanically aerated systems – can drone for many hours each day
Aerators have to work long and hard and can be quite noisy. Many people seek serenity at home and the drone of an aerated system can be annoying. Many systems are too noisy to have outside the bedroom window – and people have been known to turn off the system at night. This can create other problems, especially if they forget to turn it on again in the morning.
Our neighbours have a competitor’s system installed and it looks like a dog's breakfast - I was expecting something that looked much the same. Yet the Biolytix system is so neat, tidy, unobtrusive and silent, you wouldn’t even know it was there.

I have installed this pump in my own home, and have confidently recommended it to customers. There are many advantages of having the pump inside your wastewater treatment tank: it doesn't need priming, is more secure from theft, doesn't require a separate stand to sit on (or need mowing around), and you don't have to listen to the pump every time you turn a tap on. It has no discernible fluctuations in pressure. It seems like the ideal pump: good pressure, good flow rates and low maintenance.
